The daddy of all track pumps

First produced in 1966, the SKS Rennkompressor (Race Pump in German) has been the most popular pump in pro cycling and according to SKS is "the legitimate ancestor of all floor pumps manufactured today".

It's built to last with a heavy cast iron base, flip-up stainless steel feet, robust steel tube and comfortable wooden handle. This is the 2190 version with an AVACS flexible connection and thumb lock lever (Differs to connector pictured).. 

The panzer-like construction and the fact that almost all the parts are replaceable means these pumps don't just last a lifetime, they're handed down the generations. SKS have collected some of these stories here:
