The business end of your singlespeed transmission is the sprocket that drives the hub, either via a freewheel, or our favorite, the fixed cog. Here at Hubjub there is a track sprocket for everybody and, joy of joys, freewheels which are long lasting and serviceable.

As a rule, fixed cogs and freewheels both mount on the same thread, however the fixed hubs will have a smaller concentric thread with left hand thread for the lockring. There are obvious exceptions to the above such as the Level and White Industries systems which use proprietary mounts. Both these systems give positive engagement, but for our money the Level system has the edge on account of its dispensing with the lockring in favour of torx bolts.
