urly occupy a unique position in the industry. They are a small maker of switched-on componentry somehow embedded in the structure of one of the largest bike companies in the world. Frames like the Steamroller and 1x1 helped put fixed gear and singlespeed back on the map a few years back, and the company has continued to roll out innovative, reasonably-priced components.
STAINLESS RING || TUGGNUTS || JETHRO TULE

The thinking behind stainless rings is pretty simple: steel wears better than aluminium. Stainless steel chainrings are expensive, but they will outlast a stack of aluminium rings. This makes them particularly suitable for one-gear types, who tend to be hard riders. Two years have gone by since Matt Chester's glowing review on 63xc.com, and Surly are now in steady production. Surly are expanding their range, and we expect to go on adding new sizes as they become available.

Surly's Tuggnuts are beefy chaintugs, well-suited to the requirements of offroaders. Unlike the MKS tugs which we sell to commuters and trackies, the Tuggnut is designed to be used singly. Although you're welcome to buy a pair, we sell them one-by-one. The disk thing is for QR users (instructions enc.) and those projections off the back are bottleopeners. Really. Restocking shortly.

The Jethro Tule is an old favourite. It's a beautifully-machined 15mm spanner for tracknuts. The broad, flat, palm-shaped handle lets you exert a lot of leverage without need for a long, heavy grip. There's a bottleopener on the bottom, too (to encourage you to carry it all the time). Restocked, at last.
