GAANSARI Scorcher

The Gaansari Scorcher was our biggest project to date. The story began when we made contact with a chap called Gary Boulanger, a US cycle industry maven who had worked with Rivendell, Airborne, and a host of others. He had started his own marque, called Cycles Gaansari, and we liked what we saw. Enthusiastic sales and lots of late-night Skype sessions led to an invitation to make and sell Gaansari bicycles in the UK, and we saw a UK-localized Gaansari Scorcher (631 tubing; Richard Sachs lugs; gold componentry) through Mercian, Paul Hewitt's, and ultimately onto the pages of Cycling Plus and The Independent. Gary unfortunately had to fold Gaansari this year, but #001 was a superb bike and it found a new home in Edinburgh. Click on the image for more.
