EuroAsia Bareknuckle
Given the company's commitment to track racing, it's no surprise that EuroAsia's first frame offering is a thoroughbred. The Bareknuckle has the 120mm rear, tight clearances and steep angles of a velodrome machine, and its TiG-welded Dedacciai steel tubes are unencumbered with cable stops or logos. (The company sends Deda and EAI stickers with each frame, but it's up to you to decide whether to attach them.) The frame is rated for tyres up to 23mm and there's not a whole lot of room for mudguards.
That said, it is completely roadworthy: the straight-blade fork not only has a substantial drilled crown but also proper lozenge-section legs rather than the dreaded track type that shimmy like jelly under braking forces. There's even a neat little brake bridge, assuming that you don't mind clipping a rear brake cable to the top tube. Short reach brakes, naturellement.
Other stuff you need to know: 27.2mm seatpost, 1 1/8" threadless steerer, English-thread BB, Columbus track ends. The BB is on the high side as is appropriate for a track bike. We don't have a full geometry chart, but you're welcome to write in if you want specific measurements. Oh, and we send them out with the steerer uncut, so you should probably budget for shop assembly unless you are *very* confident...
Our small stock is all black and is limited to the most popular sizes (54, 56 and 58cm, measured c-c), but we will happily bring over other sizes and colours on custom order. Mail for availability.
