Ti Courier #001 We thought you might like a look at the very first production Ti Courier, so here it is. #001 arrived in the UK in July 07. We built it up for the forthcoming Cycling Plus review using Justin's preferred Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork plus a selection of bits cobbled together from Hubjub and from Justin's parts bin. The resulting bike rides beautifully, tho we're a bit unsure about that headset! The prototype had arrived a couple of monthes earlier, and we realised that we'd pretty much nailed the geometry. The only real difference is the chainstays. Will fancied straight stays, but when we installed Sugino 75 cranks we found the clearance just a little too tight for comfort, Ti being that bit fatter than steel. Since the 75 is a Hubjub signature item, Justin hastily re-specced curved chainstays for the production models, as you can see if you look closely. |
