Brrr! Take me back to the present
July 14
After total radio silence for the better part of two months, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Hubjub was aestivating (oo-er). Actually, what's going on is that we're moving on: there's a bunch of new lines coming in, and the site is undergoing a complete revamp. The necessary design and photography was supposed to have been completed several weeks ago but constant interruptions mean that it's only now taking place. Anyway, to spell it out: ***no*** new blogging until all is ready; business as usual meanwhile; technical queries always welcome; see you back here shortly.

Well chaps, it's spring, the beech trees have burst into full sprout, there are strange and unfamiliar eurowasps in the garden and my mother's hip operation went OK. So the world has no complaint from me.
On which positive note, here is the first in our massively delayed series of customer bikes. This one is from Dr. Nick Jones. It's a nice old Motobecane--note the typically gallic long rear end--and the moustache bars give it a really good riding position, sez Nick.

I know, I know--two consecutive days of blogging? Amazing! Anyway, here is Martin Sawers' bike, an old frame which he found in a questionable paintjob and had done up by Argos. That's a Hubjub-sourced Technomic stem up at the front there. Not that you can really see it...

Strewth. Don't see many of these. This was going to be a catch-up after ten days or so of intensive cookery and gardening but Nigel sent in pix of his Phil Wood PISS OFF, one of only three 'cross bikes in an already limited edition. Ti frame from Independent Fabrications, with an eccentric BB, Brooks Swallow saddle, custom Moots stem and the pièce de resistance--Full Wood Fenders, made of teak or something and a first for this site. There's a Hubjub-sourced EAI sprocket on there 'cos only the best etc but I didn't dare to do a closeup.
