It's a bit naff to reprint pics that have been used elsewhere but we're enormously pleased with Kristian Salo's Bareknuckle, the first of our small import run to be built up. So here's the shot that Kristian sent to the Fixed Gear Gallery. Full writeup is here; our spiel and bare frame pics are here; and, have you tried Googling for Hubjub mentions on FGG? To save you time, click here...

It's a pleasure to share today's Blog entry. Mike Woolley fixed his Terry Dolan a few months back with a Hubjub-sourced ENO, and now says "A month of riding my twenty first century scorcher has produced some of the most joyous biking experiences I've ever had. I may never ride a geared freewheel again!" Mike has plans for a Ti Setavento offroad fix. Watch this space.

May has been crazily busy so far, and we were forced to re-order three weeks early to keep up with the demand for Nitto. Meanwhile, the long-awaited Shadow Interlock chains have finally arrived. We bought a big stock to make up for delays, but get in quick -- the first couple have already gone out on custom order.

Sweet are the uses of adversity and while this 20t SLR-drilled Phil front was a misdelivery, we thought it was a good opportunity to show you some of the non-standard stuff the company does. Lots of people don't believe that a big well-established outfit can be nimble enough to do custom work -- well, here's the proof. (Drop us a note if you want something similar.) The hub is preening itself on Will's late-50s tweed Gibson Skylark amp, and thereby hangs a tale.

Much as we love fixes it's nice to feature other bikes once in a while. John Ward has used us to source parts for his heavy duty prewar roadsters, and now Colin Jenkins has bought a Phil Wood BB to help fit new cotterless cranks snugly onto his 1955 Raleigh Lenton. You can get a full view of the refitted machine by clicking the image at left. Colin is about to embark on a spot of European travel, hence the spare 1 1/4 tyre donutted into the rear rack. Every cyclist should clock up a few relaxed miles on a decent roadster! There are enthusiast pages here and here...

Massive restock arrives; frantic deck-clearing activity. To everything there is a season and our distributor has decided to stock the Technomic Deluxe stem in place of the plain ol' Technomic. The Deluxe is certainly a handsome piece of work, with a Sugino-esque satin finish and a very neat clamp bolt whose unique nut is precisely machined to sit flush in a cutout at the back of the clamp. On the minus side, the new stem, while still tall, is about an inch shorter than the old. (See pic.) If you're one of the people who favours the Technomic because the 225mm pillar lets you get the bars all the way up à la Grant Petersen, well, stocks are limited. Get in quick.
