Bit of a cheat, this one, since I'm actually writing up about a week late. The disruption is occasioned by my dad coming out of hospital. Still, today/last Saturday found me on a train to Paul Hewitt's in Lancashire, where I picked up the prototype Mercian-built Gaansari Scorcher. This will be our first venture into frames and complete bikes: it's a steel frame with large clearances and a stunning retro paintjob which you can't see in the photo, plus a bunch of exotic gold componentry because, well, why not? More shortly. Keep watching the Gaansari page.

Another day on the trains, this time taking Scorcher 001 to Bath for the tender ministrations of the Cycling Plus Review Crew. The journey went better this time (no Virgin Trains input) and Tony Farrelly, C+ editor to whom I handed over the bike, seemed to have a glint in his eye for it. Well, we'll see. Plus, I came home to find at last the new batch of EAI cogs and Nitto bars, so we're almost back up to full stock after that thin patch.

Nothing to report. Well, actually, a ton of stuff is happening--the new Keirin gloves are in, sales are at their fastest ever, various interesting new lines are winging their way here from the states, and the new 63xc.com is on the blocks--but nothing photogenic for the Blog, since I have too much to do elsewhere. By the end of this week, I should be able to start working through the old correspondence, and then things should get a bit livelier around here. Meanwhile, please stick with us.
